Do you have clients who wait until the last minute to refill? Are there some who call you with urgent requests for medication, but don't have time to come in for the necessary services beforehand?
What if you could identify those clients in advance, bring them in for their appointment, and provide them with the refills they need, all before a lapse in therapy? Through your Covetrus platform, you can.
When a prior prescription has expired, we will notify you 30 days before the patient is due for therapy again. This allows you time to contact the client and schedule a recheck to continue therapy. These expired scripts show up in the ScriptConnect Mobile App under the "Renew" tab, found at the bottom of the screen.
When you're ready to take action, select the feed item to expand the prescription.
Based on your permissions, you can Renew or Remove. If the client no longer needs the product, you can Remove.
Once you select "Renew," you can add your directions. If you have pre-saved Sig Shortcuts, you can select the one you need from the list provided. Otherwise, select the "+" to add new directions.
To save your new directions as a Sig Shortcut available for future use, toggle the switch to the right and hit "Save".
The rest of the prescription details will pre-populate based on the prescription issued before. Review these details and, when ready, hit "Authorize" to renew. Your client will be notified of this new prescription via the email address they have on file.
