As of Tuesday, July 27, we have officially retired the Script Assist feature from the Platform. To learn more about this decision and how it may impact you, please read through the following FAQs.
Why is Script Assist going away?
We are constantly evaluating features within the Platform in order to provide the greatest value we can for practices. Due to under-utilization, low conversion rates, and based on user feedback, we have decided to retire Script Assist. Doing so will make room for improvements to the core Platform functionality as well as the development of new features like the eVetPractice® and AVImark® prescription integrations.
What should I do instead?
For clients who walk out without purchasing their needed medication, your best chance at conversion is to issue a digital prescription. And while Script Assist had allowed you to do that, we often found that the timing was too late in the process. Best practice is to speak with the client about their options while they are at the clinic, then issue a digital prescription in conjunction with that conversation and as soon as you know their need.

When will Script Assist be going away?
Script Assist will be retired from the platform on the evening of Tuesday, July 27. If you would like to remove it from view before then, a practice administrator can do so under “Practice Settings.”
Can I continue to use it until then?
Yes. Script Assist will be fully functional until it is retired.
Will you be replacing this tool?
While there are no current plans to replace this tool, we will continue to explore ways we can leverage insights to improve efficiency and compliance within practices.
