Client-requested prescriptions, especially around flash sales or seasonal discounts, represent an opportunity for your practice to serve and your clients to save. However, customers risk having scripts declined because their pet is due for an exam.
For example, your client places an order, saving 20% on a 12-pack of heartworm preventatives. But before the order is approved, the client must bring their dog in for an exam.
While your practice may have previously declined their script, the following workflow shows you the easy steps to ensuring the client captures the discount, their pet gets proper treatment, and your practice retains the sale.
- Change status to "Exam Needed":
- Contact the client to schedule an exam.
- Leave the order request as pending.
- After the appointment, you can find the order under “Action Needed” filter and approve it.
- The client’s order is placed with the full savings amount applied.
