The ScriptConnect Mobile App makes it easy for ambulatory veterinarians to create, approve, and renew prescriptions on the go, without having to save all data entry for their return home or to the clinic at the end of the day. However, ambulatory veterinarians in remote geographic regions have historically been unable to use the app due to lack of cellular service or WIFI.
Introducing: Offline Mode. Once enabled, Offline Mode allows you to create prescriptions, approve and renew pending requests, and add new clients and patients while offline.
The feature can be enabled* in two ways:
*Please note that in order to work offline, client, patient, and product data must be synced to your phone. We recommend confirming that you have sufficient space before enabling this feature.
Through iPhone Settings:
- Open the ‘Settings’ App on your iPhone
- Scroll down to find and select ‘ScriptConnect’
- Toggle ‘Offline Mode’ on to enable.
- This will log you out of ScriptConnect. When you log back in, it will download your data for offline use.
Through ScriptConnect app:
- Log into ScriptConnect
- Open navigation via the “...” in the upper right corner.
- Select “Offline Settings”
- Toggle ‘Offline Mode’ on to enable.
- This will log you out of ScriptConnect. When you log back in, it will download your data for offline use.
How does it work?
Any actions taken while offline will save to your queue. When you come back to service, your queue will begin processing through the list in the order in which the actions occurred.
Any failed actions will show an error describing why the action failed (i.e. someone else at the practice already responded to the request while you were offline). From there, you can swipe to dismiss the error or, in certain cases, retry.
