Requesting an Account
1. Go to compounds.covetrus.com. Veterinarian or practice manager clicks on Request an Account link.
2. Veterinarian or practice manager fills out clinic's and veterinarian's information, then click Submit Request.
FAQs: How to set up
Who should use this form?
Veterinarians and Practice Managers should use this form to request an account(s) for a veterinarian(s) at their clinic. A form needs to be submitted for each veterinarian.
What is the turnaround time for account creation?
Typically less than 24 hours.
Who is notified when the account is created?
The veterinarian will receive a Welcome email at the email address used to create an account. The clinic’s Salesforce profile will be updated with a note stating that they have been set up.
How do additional clinic staff get accounts created?
Staff members do not use this form to request accounts. Instead, once the veterinarian is successfully set up with an account, they can create accounts for staff members and authorize them to order on their behalf. Please see the Delegates how to.
Placing an Order
1. Log in at compounds.covetrus.com.
2. Type into the search bar or click Product Catalog to search for products based on dose form or medication (API).
3. Select strength and flavor of desired medication.
4. View your Cart and proceed to checkout.
How Veterinarians Can Create and Authorize Delegates
1. Once logged in, the veterinarian clicks on Account Settings.
2. Scroll down to the At Your Practice section and click Manage.
3. Click Add User.
4. Fill out form with staff member's information. Click Add New.
Remember: The new delegate will not receive a Welcome Email. The veterinarian needs to let them know that their account has been created upon completion of next step.
5. Veterinarian goes back to Practice User page and needs to check the Authorize box next to the user. This action creates veterinarian-delegate relationship.
The delegate simply needs to sign in to the site using their email address as their username. At that time, the delegate will be asked to set a password, and then can begin ordering.

What is a delegate?
A non-veterinarian staff member who orders office use compounds on behalf of a veterinarian.
How are accounts created for delegates?
Only veterinarians can give delegation rights to staff members.
How does the delegate know their account has been created?
The veterinarian needs to inform the delegate that their account has been created.
Delegate Order Capabilities
Delegates have the same ordering capabilities as veterinarians. During Checkout, delegates need to identify which veterinarian they are ordering on behalf of.
Practice Order History
Any order placed through the Office-Use Portal will be displayed in your order history for easy reordering and inventory management.
Practice Order History displays the name of the delegate and which veterinarian they ordered on behalf of.
